Book Club Run of Bff: A Memoir of Friendship Lost and Found

Join Read & Run Chicago founder Allison Yates and Heyday Homes founder Meg Daday for a 5-mile, easy-paced (11:00 min/mile) guided running route inspired by Christie Tate's memoir, Bff: A Memoir of Friendship Lost and Found. After the route, we'll have an intimate author Q&A with Christie Tate, plus snacks, drinks, and a raffle.

Here's what else you need to know:

MEET: Doors open at Three Cities Social (320 W. Ohio) at 1:45pm on Sunday, March 2. You'll check-in, write a name tag, and mingle with other readers & runners. Our program will begin promptly at 2:00pm and the route will take off by 2:10pm. Any late arrivals after 2:10pm should wait at the library until the group returns.

  • The CTA Brown Line stops at Chicago/Franklin, a short walk to Three Cities Social

  • Various CTA bus routes pass near Three Cities Social

ROUTE: We will run an easy-paced (11:00 min/mile), ~5-mile route with several stops. Not planning to run? Cyclists, rollers, rollerblades, scooters, and more welcome (take care of your own safety, please!).

END: After the 5-mile guided run, we'll end at Three Cities Social for an author talk, plus book sales and signing. Snacks and drinks provided.

NOTE: If you are planning to join only for the discussion portion, please plan to arrive at Three Cities Social by 3pm.

All registered readers & runners will receive reminder emails and details 2 days and 4 hours prior to the event.
