Join Read & Run Chicago in year's end gathering at Barcocina Lakeview on Wednesday, November 29 at 7pm! From learning about Palestinian migration and culture in Bridgeview and debating deep dish vs. tavern style pizza with Steve Dolinksky to commemorating the 1919 Chicago Race Riots, we've spent the last year using movement and stories to explore the Chicagoland area. Now, it's time to celebrate all the miles we've run and books we've read and enjoy a night of community and cookies--and perhaps even dancing! Whether you've joined us for every event or if you're new to the group and simply curious to see what we're all about, this party is for you! All are welcome--so long as you love books, movement, and exploring Chicago.
Hosted by Read & Run Chicago founder and director Allison Yates and guide Fernanda Wetzel, you'll be able to mingle with other readers & runners (if you can recognize them outside of running gear!), purchase Read & Run Chicago merch, snack on each other's cookies (bring a batch of cookies to share!), and enter in a chance to win some fabulous raffle prizes. Attire is whatever you feel most confident in, though we encourage dressy casual or ugly sweaters.
Tickets $20. Available here.
